To find resources via phone/text messages is time-consuming and frustrating for both planner and resources. This might lead to no replacement is done and possible loss of income. Or, existing staff will cover up with the risk of being worn-out, which will in the long run result in increased absence and the need of more replacements.


With Workport, it becomes very easy to find available resources. Workport covers the entire process from finding resources to booking and replaces old call lists and complicated text message management. Time is reduced from hours to under a minute.


The resource manager links skills to contacts to create resources and invites them to his/hers resource network. The resource will be available when the invitation is accepted. The resource manager creates a request and sends it to the available resources chosen. Resources can set availability on/off and answer Yes/No to a request. This results in a transformation from "threat-driven" requests to "desire-driven" availability.


A request for resources is made by providing a wanted skill and time-period. A selection is made from available resources that will get the request. This is sent as a text message. Workport shows who is interested, not interested or who has not responded. The resource manager chooses whom to book. When the booking is confirmed by the resource all other requested resources will get a text message.
